Without this becoming a heated political discussion, one comment by several newscasters, caught my attention:
"Now politicians have to be concerned about the 'Values-Voters'. No longer is it the soccer-moms, or nascar dads, but a larger group, that bases their vote, on the candidate that best represents thier moral values"
And with this, the high turn-out at the polls, is this indicative of a continuing change, since 9/11?
Did the impact of the attack, and the soul searching that took place after the World Trade Center, make a huge impact on the general populations morals, and has it resulted in them seeking God, and maintaining that relationship with Him?

Did morals begat God, or did God begat morals?
It has been said, that 'believing in (a) God has become more popular since 9/11'. I have noticed that the term "Thank God" has been used far more often on TV programs and in general language since 9/11. It appears that many of these references have a deeper meaning to the person that said it than it used too. But I feel that many of these people are belieiving in the idealism of "a" God that exists, but they still don't know or understand who is the God of Jacob.
America has taken a great step forward, but there is much education to be shared among these people with their eyes open now instead of being shut, as before.
America was founded on the freedom of religion and expression, not the censorship of using the phrase of "God" in our schools and government. Our Constitution protects our rights to use the phrase of God freely, dispite how some liberal Supreme Court Judge wants to twist this fact.
On the other hand, I once read where the European liberals (particularly the French), are repulsed by America's obscession with making religion a big part of our Constitution, Laws, Media and our everday discussions amoung ourselves. If you think about it, we Americans certainly do discuss spiritualness a great deal. But isn't this what God has intended us to do?
The basic concept of increased moral values is definately visible. But does that lead them directly to seeking the God of Jacob? It is our duty as Christians to be sure that they don't invent an entirely different God.

Good, your on track!

Excelent evaluation!

Right: This "moralism" they are 'experiencing', could become a form of idolatry, or the new god of the month.
Keep em coming!

Idolatry is rampant in the "American Religion". There is no fundamental understanding of personnel sin, personnel responsibility and personal judgement. There is no understanding of national sin, or national judgment. With no understanding of these foundational truths they will believe in a god but not seek a Saviour.
Isaiah said, "Woe is me because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell among a people of unclean lips."
We need to change the expression from "God Bless America" to "America Bless God".
People have always voted their morals or their wallets, sometimes both but an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our nation? I ain't seen it yet!
